Biography
"the earth has music for those that listen" - William Shakespeare
It is important that life, as well as death, be a sacred place with beauty, mystery, and celebration every day. The ability to study death allows us to transform how we die, as well as how we live now. I'm an LPN with over 20 years of experience in the geriatric field of medicine. A sacred passage coach and doula is a nonmedical professional trained to care for a terminally ill person’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during the death process. We may start that journey early in life, or when a terminal diagnosis is received working side-by-side with your palliative care team to ensure your wishes and desires are documented and understood. While you may never have heard of this position in the healthcare field, there’s quite a need for doulas and the support they provide.
I received my certificate through the Conscious Dying Institute (CDI), now the Conscious Dying Collective, and attended the Nashville Memorial Hospital L.P.N. program in Nashville, Tennessee.
