Randy Bauch was one of those people.

 

Randy was deeply committed to the Senior Services Network (SSN) and to the people who make up our organization. He understood that SSN was about more than professional connections—it was about relationships, collaboration, service, and making a difference in the lives of others. Randy brought people together, supported those around him, and gave generously of his time, energy, and heart to our organization and our community.

 

The Randy Bauch Distinguished Service Award was established in his memory to ensure that the qualities Randy represented continue to live on through SSN.

 

Each year, this award recognizes an SSN member who demonstrates the same spirit of service, commitment, leadership, and connection that Randy embodied. It is our way of celebrating someone who consistently goes above and beyond—not because they are asked to, but because they genuinely care about their fellow members, their profession, and the community we serve.

 

Nominations Are Now Open for 2026

 

The SSN Randy Bauch Distinguished Service Award Committee is pleased to announce that nominations are officially open for the 2026 Randy Bauch Distinguished Service Award.

 

We encourage every SSN member to take a moment to think about the people within our organization who make a difference.

 

• Shows up for Seniors — Demonstrates a consistent commitment to supporting, advocating
  for, and serving the senior community.
• Connects people with resources — Helps connect individuals with the people, services,
  organizations, and information they need, both within our industry and throughout the
  community.
• Strengthens our community through steady service — Makes a positive difference through
  dependable involvement, not simply through one-time efforts.
• Demonstrates generosity — Willingly gives their time, knowledge, resources, and support to
  help others.
• Acts with integrity — Is trustworthy, dependable, and consistently does what is right.
• Leads with care — Treats older adults, colleagues, families, and community members with
  compassion, dignity, and respect.

That person may be this year's recipient.
